     The Lawrence County Treasurer’s Office would like to announce the 2009 Dog Licenses will be available for sale on Monday, December 1, 2008.  Renewal applications will be mailed to current dog owners the week of November 24^th.  Licenses may be purchased at the Treasurer’s Office during regular business hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or sent in by mail to Lawrence County Treasurer, 430 Court Street, New Castle, PA  16101.  Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Lawrence County Treasurer.  Additional locations include The Pet Parlor, 4466 Mitchell Road, New Castle, The Critter Corner, 1001 Wilmington Avenue, New Castle, The Lawrence County Humane Society, Pearson Mill Road, New Castle and Fur-Ever Family, 511 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City. The price per license is as follows:

·         Regular Male - $8.00

·         Regular Neutered Male - $6.00

·         Regular Female - $8.00

·         Regular Spayed Female - $6.00

·         Senior/Disability Male - $6.00

·         Senior/Disability Neutered Male - $4.00

·         Senior/Disability Female - $6.00

·         Senior/Disability Spayed Female - $4.00

     Besides the Treasurer’s Office phone number of 724.656.2124, and new for 2009, will be the addition of a second phone number on the license for lost or found pets to be used after 4:00PM, on weekends, and holidays.  That number is the 911 non-emergency number of 724.656.9300.
