The Library has a print collection of over 20,000 volumes and several collections of loose printed material.  It also provides legal information through CD-ROM.

The Law Library provides aid in locating and providing legal information to the courts, the legal community, county personnel and the general public.

Our long range goal is to utilize technology to improve public access to library services.  In pursuing this goal, the law library seeks to maintain cooperative alliances with information sources, making full use of legal library consortia as well as public libraries. In turn, the Lawrence County Law Library reciprocates, to meet the information needs of the entire community.

Future plans for the library include seeking grants which will provide funding for expanded services and greater availability of its information to the public.

The Lawrence County Law Library is open and available to all citizens of the county during normal business hours of the courthouse.  (8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday) (Excluding Holidays)
